Put the new K&N air filter in and I noticed that on the bottom, (just like the original) there is a "nipple" that goes into the bottom of the airbox. I am assuming this is either a drain, or a crankcase vent. The OEM filter had the hole through this nipple, while the K&N was closed off. I am wondering if this hole is supposed to be on K&N, and just got "flashed" over during molding. Any thoughts???

It's a water drain hole in case water gets in there. You can drill to match stock.
