Newer is usually better. Thing is, you are comparing two bikes that had the most desirable of factory changes, one that does not. 97 has spin on oil filter, four brush starter, two piston calipers and bigger rotors I think, and an improved stator pick up. Less miles is an obvious plus but hey, you know the miles could have been a quarter mile at a time. Ultimately, I think it always prudent to buy the new and less used of the lot but it falls to the buyer to know what to look for, how to check it out and be able to recognize good from bad. My best advice is shop around as much as possible, never regret passing up on a bike that you don't feel 100 percent about and knowledge is a good thing.

Everything I own is torn apart in the name of progress. I just haven't made any yet :biglaugh: No, I'm not looking to buy anything else!!! My wife would kill me. My 06 is in pieces waiting for "better" parts. I told my her it won't go any faster, just look cooler and sound better. She doesn't believe me. The CR5 is a roller again but still searching for some used pieces to finish it up.

Just thought someone may be interested in one of these, that is all.

I have met the guy from Leechburg with the 92.
The guy is a real hill billy, His bike is really starting to show it's age.
The impression i got when i talked with him is he's not big on maintenance, just fill it up and go.(imo) I would stay away from that one...
