Hello everyone I’m in process of doing carb cleaning to my bike since it was wasn’t used for a long time. But during the disassembly process I lost spring which goes inbetween carburetor 1 and 2 (the one missing on the picture)

My question is if there is a possibility of buying it new from Yamaha directly because I wasn’t able to locate it on carburator diagrams but might have missed something.

Looks like #21? Two springs and a pan-head (sometimes called 'cheese-head') machine screw. For carb synching. Not available from a Yamaha dealer, anymore. Try dannymax at [email protected] He specializes in our CV carbs.

You might try a well-stocked hardware store, and find one of about the same wire size and diameter, you can cut it to whatever size you need. Or try Mcmaster-Carr, mail-order.

Ah, good on you fellows! I wasn't sure about bothering you two for something so small, but your generosity in assisting a fellow enthusiast is appreciated by all.

Who has ever tried, "brother, brother, find the other!" by dropping a mate to the dropped/lost part, to see where it rolls? I admit to doing it. I've had it work. I've also found something by widening my area to search, and wondered, "how in *^&%! did that part roll that-far?"

A close second to that is 'losing' a tool, and sometime later you find it, and it comes-back to you, how you placed it in a spot and forgot to collect it when cleaning-up?

A third to that is going to the junkyard and finding a tool someone left in the vehicle, during a repair, until you found it, maybe years later? I was picking-up the carcass of a wrecked VMax at a wrecking yard I've bought from over probably 50 years, and I found a nice set of side-cutters, just waiting for me. I also was able to locate the faux tank cover from the bike, which was not with the bulk of the bike.
