Can I just run to the hardware store to pick up a bolt to use temporarily? I ordered the new valve but it may take 6-8 weeks. It looks like the valve drain is 25/64 but am unsure of the thread pitch. Is this a common bolt size?

25/64" is not typical. 1/4" or 3/8" pipe thread (tapered) is typical. You could buy a pipe plug and install it. Wrap the threads with teflon tape.

What about searching the size on the manufacturers website?

Thanks guys, off to the store.

I tried Harbor Freight and couldn't find the exact part size.

When mine broke I replaced it with a regular 3/8 ball valve. Now every couple of days I just crack the valve for a couple of seconds and it blows the water out. No need to drain the air out every time.
The thread is a pipe thread. Probibly 3/8. A bolt will not fit.
I used a short 3/8 nipple, a 90 and another nipple then screwed the valve on. Way better than the factory valve that came with it.

Ditto - I did the same to mine - much better than the factory valve.

You should have called me. I have a spare one in my toolbox....

I did check (finally), but don't have a spare bolt for the master cylinder.

Kent.
