Found this a bit south of Jay Gleason's Plant City FL hometown. Gonna try the electrolysis method of rust removal. Pipes are intact, no dents, no rust-through perforations. There's a Jet Hot Coatings business 5 minutes from where I work. I'm partial to silver.

And, that's not all. :hmmm:

Do ya think this is worth anything? (attachment #2)

You picked yourself up a nice piece of memorabilia FM, if it were mine I might even put it in a frame!
I am glad I got the signed Jay "Pee Wee" Gleason poster when I did.

Gosh, I have to confess, I don't have that signed airbox Y! But I do have the Kerker 4 into 1.

I saw the signed airbox Y and just took a picture of it.

I still think someplace like the Barber Motorcycle Museum should have Jay's leathers and that bike in a display where everyone can enjoy it. After all the bike was built to honor American muscle car fascination, and a motorcycle designed in the style of them, brute horsepower and lots of attitude.

This is probally an old question, but what ever happend to the origional Max Jay set the records on?.............:confused2:............Tom.

I suppose it's in Yamaha's archives, maybe it made its way back to Japan?

Pee Wee's "birthday" Vmax is on Ebay, the bid was at $13,000.00 when I saw it a couple days ago. Info was from Kyle's Max Motorvation Page on Facebook.
