Checked out Yamaha-Motor.com No mention at all about VMax. I checked on the RoadStar forum I also frequent, and posters said the Max is history for 2008, but the new model will be out in 2009. 1800cc/210HP. Watch the price on the used ones go up now!

I almost think the price of old ones will go down not up. The new one should be "better". Look at other bikes when the new improved model comes out, the dealerships usually have a hard time getting rid of the last year of the "old" model. The Vmax may be different though...:confused2:

That my be true if you have $15K in your pocket, but many will not and a used one at $5-6K will still look like a good deal. I don't think the used vmax market will change much either way.
