I used to frequently go to a small local restraint in my neighbor hood, where I lived at the time,1968 to 1969.This guy was also a frequent costumer too.He would sit next to me at the counter & we would just shoot the ****.Seemed like a nice guy to me.....To bad, I never got his autograph. After the murders. Everyone at this little restraint was in shock!!! We actually had personal contact with him.One waitress would always say, here comes Charley. Dang Rusty! You just never know who you might be sitting next to.Did he look all crazy and **** with the swastika tat between the eyes when you new him?
Mike

And you didn't Join his "Family" ???
Oh that's right, He really only wanted Young Women to join.

Good Story though.

That was 44 years ago Dman999 how old do you think rusty is ? LOL.

Well according to his post he's old enough to have met Charles Manson in 1968 or 1969.

You would have never known.Didn't seem crazy at all. He put that swastika on his face while he was in prison. We used to go horse back riding at Spahn ranch where he lived. But I never saw him there.

Remember Donale Sutherland as a murdering arsonist in "Backdraft?" Rober DeNiro as the fire marshal attends his parole board hearing and gets Sutherland to admit that he wants to burn more people, in-front of the board. "Request for parole denied!"

The only way that Charlie is going to leave prison is horizontally, and permanently non-breathing. Hopefully he will be cremated immediately so his grave, even if it's a pauper's grave, won't become some macabre "shrine." Let his ashen remains swim with Osama bin Laden's. Even that is too-good treatment.

Charles Manson has been denied parole eleven times. His last denial came in April 2007. His next parole hearing is scheduled for 2012, when Manson will be 77. The following is a transcript of his 1992 parole hearing--his eighth.

If you are of a "certain age," Chet Huntley and David Brinkley are who gave you the evening news ("Good night, Chet." "Good night David.") The best solo reporter of the time was Walter Cronkite, for me ("And let the good news be yours.") I used to see his sailboat in Marsh Harbour, Bahamas when I was sailing there. He was an avid sailor.

The Manson "family" was a bunch of murderous psychopaths and they need to stay right where they are.
