It is concerning Brian Kohn who goes by BrianK on this forum. He will be missed, he was truly one of the nicest people you would ever know with a heart of gold filled with complete innocence.
I don't even know how to say any of this so i guess i'll just start from the
beginning. Michael and I received a phone call from Victoria Meyer (in Chicago)
last night. She didn't have any details other than that our dear Brian Kohn had
been life-flighted to Memorial Hermann hospital. She thought it was a motorcycle
accident but wasn't sure about anything. Michael immediately called Doug, who
had just received the same information, and I phoned the hospital to see if they
had any information so that we could re-assure Victoria, and then head up there.
While on the phone with the hospital, Victoria called back... a family member
called her and said our wonderful friend Brian has passed away.
Needless to say, we're beyond heartbroken, stunned, shocked... it's just hard to
get my head around it all. It was a sleepless night to say the very least. We
spoke with both Doug and Victoria well into the wee hours of the morning.
Evidently, the ER started calling numbers on Brian's cell phone and finally
reached his close friends and family. I was able to talk to the hospital
emergency staff later on and according to their report, life flight had been
dispatched to Hwy.6 & I-10, which is nears Brian's shop. By chance, Michael
found an accident report on Chron.com, and by all accounts, we're pretty certain
it's about Brian.
Right now, I'd just like to remember a great weekend in Bandera last weekend,
how much fun we all had, and how unbelievable it is that it was Brian's last
time to ever ride the twisted sisters.
Brian, you were on your bike, so I know you were doing what you loved most. We
are going to miss you terribly, more than words can say.
Doug is picking up Brian's step mom from the airport today, and I'll be picking
up Victoria. As soon as we hear anything about a funeral or memorial service,
we'll post it up immediately. In the meantime, please keep Brian and his loved
ones in your prayers.

This is what it says:
Crash With Delivery Truck Kills Motorcyclist
A man was killed after his motorcycle crashed into a delivery truck in west
Houston Saturday evening, authorities said.
Investigators say that around 7:21 p.m., the driver of a furniture delivery
truck was traveling west on the service road of the 14700 block of the Katy
Freeway when he made a U-turn at Texas 6.
The driver then attempted to make an immediate right onto Grasshopper Lane from
the middle lane of traffic, HPD vehicular crimes division Sgt. N. Perry said.
A motorcyclist traveling behind the truck in the far right lane then crashed
into the vehicle, Perry said.
The motorcyclist was taken by LifeFlight to Memorial Hermann Hospital-The Texas
Medical Center, where he later died.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
The motorcyclist's identity is pending an autopsy by the Harris County Institute
of Forensic Sciences. No further information is immediately available and the
case is under investigation.
