Anybody here into model trains? I have my fathers 027 gauge set, it's from the 1940's. I haven't set it up in about 20 years and brought it home from her house today. Going to make a display in my basement as i get money. Anybody have a set up?

I used to have an old train set. Mine was mostly CP rail stuff. Really good stuff - but of course I was young and like to set up he-man figurines on the track and cause "accidents"
not sure if my old train sets survived? I should ask the old man if he boxed em up somewhere.

I have a plastic tote FULL of HO scale stuff.......

No room to set it up......:damn angry:

I might try to trade it for a smaller..... N scale.....I think.....set...:confused2:

When I was about 12 I had a HO set, then later on I went to a nice N gauge. I dunno what happened to it.

The fun part for me was trying to make it as realistic as possible. I would spend many an hour putting togeather the buildings, water towers, and other scenery. Those were good times. Thanks for bringing that memory back.

I looked them up last nigh, they are from the early 50's my dad would of been around 12-14. Need to clean the track than think about what i'm going to do as a set up.

I set up a couple sets of O-scale trains to circle the Christmas tree most years complete with smoking engines, and whistling tenders. My wife gets to set all her Dept. 56 miniature stuff around it.

A couple more weeks and it will be time to unbox them and start playing again.
