CLICK THUMBNAILS FOR LARGER VERSION
Mounting the brackt involves cutting off the plate hanger of your existing steel undertray, and mounting through the rubber and steel vibration damping 'bushes' already in place there. one straight cut with a grinder.
Here is the light which comes in the standard VMAX kit "
Clear Lense Oblong LED Cateye". Like the Lucas Style, below, I didn't find it particularly bright, especially in sunny weather, and therefore the brake doesn't show up too well when it's bright. Also has no white LEDs to shine on the number plate, thats an MOT failure in the UK :bang head:.
This is the"
Small LED Cateye". I like this one. It carries 'Ultra Bright' red LEDs and is plenty bright, and very clear even on very sunny days. If I wanted a red lens, this is the one I'd choose. It also has 3 white LEDs that illuminate the number plate.
Here is the "
Retro Lucas style LED Light". Like the Oblong Cateye, below, I didn't find it particularly bright, especially in sunny weather, and therefore the brake doesn't show up too well when it's bright. This light does, however, have plate illumination, in the form of white LEDs. I really like the style and shape of this light, it's just the low light output which put me off it.
The light I'm keeping in the end, is the only only I haven't got round to photographing! :biglaugh: It is the clear lens version of the Small LED Cateye.
Any questions I'd be glad to answer. Just to emphasise again... not my product, not being paid, all info is my personal opinions only, and I have nothing to do with the company except helping to trial the prototype bracket.
