Are they still in business? I tried several time to order 2 tail lights from the website but it won't except my Paypal, it says they only except confirmed accounts. I have been confirmed for years and use it often but it won't go through, I emailed them 2 days ago about the issue, still no reply. I'm getting frustrated, so I called them today and got an answering machine:bang head: Anybody have any info on this company? I guess I will give them a couple more days then I will move on to a different company, maybe I'm just spoiled by the great vendor service we get on this site:confused2:

I think there are a couple on here that recently purchased the Motorcyclemods tailight. Hopefully one of them will see this thread and give us some feedback.

I had no problem with the website when I paid and I just bought mine in January.

I needed a replacement mounting bracket and called to leave them a message plus sent an email. They responded within a few days. I don't believe they are a big company so give them some time. Not sure why your PAYPAL didn't work.

Ok, thanks for the info. I will give them a few days then.

My Motorcycle mods taillight arrived today. I had to send numerous e-mails to finally get a reply, he said he had replied, and didn't know why I wasn't receiving them? So presumably they have problems with their e-mail system.

Not really going off topic but , isn't that tail light a little on the pricey side ? EBay has a bunch of them at less than half that price . :confused2:

After all , a light is a light , LED or not .

I just picked this light up , just to be a little different . Let youz guyz know how it works out...http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DUAL...p3286Q2em7QQcategoryZ35575QQitemZ220755606134

You're paying for the precision cut highly polished stainless bracket as well.

It's not THAT expensive, and it's not going anywhere... It's VERY well thought out IMO.

After reading this I just placed an order for 2 tail lights, one for me in red and one for Wildman98 in clear. It still wouldn't except my Paypal so I used a credit card and it worked fine, so hopefully all goes well....

Not knocking them , just my opinion on the price . $30. works just as well as $75...well actually it works 2 1/2 times as well .

I bought one from them in Feb had it in a week and it works great at $75 bucks is about mid way between all the prices I saw for tail lights. I did see the $30 dollar ones but they where all bulb style. Motocycle Mods was the cheapest LED w/ polished bracket I found.

I didn't want to start a new post, but I have some interesting news. I have been working with Kinn at Motorcycle Mods to fit and try out the prototype bracket that will except a few different versions of their LED tail light models.

As you'll see I'm based in the UK and have never met anyone at Motorcycle Mods. Also I am not being paid, nor do I receive any financial reward for promoting the products, I just thought someone might be interested about the new options. Bear with me, I will be posting images of the new optional lights, along with my observations, etc.

These products are listed on their site, but the VMAX kit is still listed the same, with the only option of the "Oblong LED Cateye" Light. So if you are interested in any others, give them a shout and let them know, and you'll need the modified version of the bracket.

TBC.....

CLICK THUMBNAILS FOR LARGER VERSION

Mounting the brackt involves cutting off the plate hanger of your existing steel undertray, and mounting through the rubber and steel vibration damping 'bushes' already in place there. one straight cut with a grinder.

Here is the light which comes in the standard VMAX kit "Clear Lense Oblong LED Cateye". Like the Lucas Style, below, I didn't find it particularly bright, especially in sunny weather, and therefore the brake doesn't show up too well when it's bright. Also has no white LEDs to shine on the number plate, thats an MOT failure in the UK :bang head:.

This is the"Small LED Cateye". I like this one. It carries 'Ultra Bright' red LEDs and is plenty bright, and very clear even on very sunny days. If I wanted a red lens, this is the one I'd choose. It also has 3 white LEDs that illuminate the number plate.

Here is the "Retro Lucas style LED Light". Like the Oblong Cateye, below, I didn't find it particularly bright, especially in sunny weather, and therefore the brake doesn't show up too well when it's bright. This light does, however, have plate illumination, in the form of white LEDs. I really like the style and shape of this light, it's just the low light output which put me off it.

The light I'm keeping in the end, is the only only I haven't got round to photographing! :biglaugh: It is the clear lens version of the Small LED Cateye.

Any questions I'd be glad to answer. Just to emphasise again... not my product, not being paid, all info is my personal opinions only, and I have nothing to do with the company except helping to trial the prototype bracket.
