Moto skivieez

I see these have rave reviews has anyone tried them with a stock max seat looks like a cheaper easier option than reworking the stock seat. And if you have them which version did you buy.

Guess you had AutoCorrect make your subject title for you.

I looked at the pics but didn't read about their construction, I'm gonna guess they're a combo of neoprene and lycra. That would make you sweat in hot weather. I like things dryer in the hot FL summer, and loose-fitting, for some air circulation around 'The Twins.'

Re: Moto skivieez

yep auto correct got me just fixed it and the review on the adventure rider site said they stayed dry in 90 plus degree weather, i have the lycra style heat out gear shorts from cycle gear and way better than anything else in the heat but figured i would get opinions on these since there 60 bucks a pair.

I think the stock seat is just fine. I live close to Toledo and have ridden to Cleveland, Columbus and Detroit with only stopping for gas. But then again, i also used to have a GSXR that i did all the same trips on, lol. Ill note too that i didnt stop anywhere but Detroit (my bro lived there) i just went to ride in new places and look at different scenery, lol. Maybe my butts just made of iron, lol.

I don't believe you can alter a thread title yourself, it has to be done by a moderator.

I'm a bit young to be wearing rubber underpants, just yet. When do I start doing that? It Depends.

I don't mind the stock seat, though I use a Corbin. Sometime I'm gonna get w/Patmax and try a Maxgasser.

I bought some different butthuggers from another vendor awhile back, designed for the same purpose. The upside was that each night I could wash one and wear the other. To tight, no room for my cubes to breathe, I found I was more comfortable on a quality saddle with my traditional cotton briefs or boxer-briefs. Im not sure how you can avoid a nice seat if touring is in your future, it's truly money well spent. Please post your review if you try these out, I would be interested in knowing how they work for you.

I've always used shorts made for bicyclists, taking two pairs when touring. Can't remember the price, but no doubt less expensive than motorcycle-specific clothing. Keep in mind that pricing is in large part determined by demographics ( bicycle folks assumed to have less disposable income than those that can afford motorcycles).
The bike shorts work well, considering their design. The "cubes"on a male riding a bicycle are more in motion than those of a motorcyclist, therefore the design is more cube oriented.
The bottom line - wear whatever keeps your "boys" happy:biglaugh:
Cheers!

Same here Miles, bicycle pants under thick leather pants. They do cost less. Also I get my fingerless padded gloves for weightlifting instead of motorcycle shops-less$$$$.

Re: Moto skivieez

Buy LDcomfort... You'll thank me later. Comes in long or short tops and bottoms. Keeps you DRY And temperature regulated.

Yup, I'd agree 100%
I certainly have NO problem that you prefer to wear Victoria's Secret undies, Mike -
whether under your leathers, or your street clothes, or just by themselves, maybe when tooling around your garage? With stiletto heels as well?
I'm a 21st century, Liberal type of guy!
But how about posting some pics of you, rocking the Victorias?:eusa_dance::eusa_dance:
Now THAT would be a post for the ages!
Cheers!
