So, as some of you know... I downed my Max in September, and to much chagrin it was totaled out. But after many phone calls to Sean, along with many emails and parts later, I now have a functional USD front end off a YZF750R transplanted to the max.
The parts list goes as follows:
Yzf750r forks
Racetech 1.0k springs
Yzf750r masters
Galfer ss lines
Yzf750r 6pot calipers
Yzf750r fender
Yzf750r triple clamps
Yzf750r front wheel and rotors
Radiator
Unknown black face speedo (that I lost the wiring diagram to)
New shifter parts (some of which I salvaged off a venture at the local bike graveyard)
New left side scoop
14.5" rear shocks
Extra long bolt + hammer (to straighten the frame where the left foot peg mounts)
New mounting bolts for the brakes (the Canadian who sent them to me forgot to include hardware)
A mightyvac (which I didn't own but now do, and assisted trumendously in my flush/cleaning of the brakes and clutch, seriously I couldn't have done it without that sucker)
Lots of elbow grease
My buddy's garage where we've been slowly learning how to do all this stuff.
Stuff I still need:
New front tire
Paint
Fender mounting hardware
Rear seat eliminator
Patience
It's safe to say I learned a few things doing this, like that I need more tools, and I'm still not done feeding that damn monkey...
But hopefully I'll have it totally assembled and painted by this weekend and only awaiting the shipment of the new tire, so I can terrorize the streets and get used to the way this thing rides now that I've changed everything.
