Thanks ahead of time. Keep in mind, the below was written up a while back for another forum and I've posted this on a few forums to see if anyone has gone through something similar. I have talked to the adjuster, they're up to $2500 now and I countered with $10k. She said that's high for a settlement, that my med bills are around $12k and she couldnt give me half that. I've hard plenty of advice regarding attorneys and called one the other day, he said that I'm around the right neighborhood and that he would counter with $7500 cash on top of the med bills. I'll be calling another attorney tomorrow.
Xrays and MRI showed nothing. Basically what I had was bad bruising around my groin, lower back pain(obviously), and the trauma from the accident.

I'm copying and pasting this from another forum where i couldnt get the best help so there'll be a few differences. It has also been a while. Their offer is up to $2,500 + bills.
Sorry if this shouldn't be in this subforum but wasn't quite sure where to put it. Also, to be clear about the gear I was wearing, it included my helmet and then clothing wise I just had a pair of jeans, big denim coat w/ light jacket liner, a hoodie, and Tshirt.
Summary: Looking for advice from fellow riders who may have had experience with insurance companies after an accident or knows anyone else that has had experience. Thanks to anyone ahead of times.
Story is; November 26th, 2008, around 5:15 pm I was riding my dad's Suzuki Madura before the first big ice was supposed to hit. I was getting ready to pass through a busy intersection after leaving Wal-Mart(I've included a rough drawing and mapquest link to show the location). As I was passing through the intersection around 35 mph(Last I remember, as I was about to pass through it, the the green light went yellow), I had a lady pull out in front of me in a late 80's-early 90s Buick Century. As my brakes locked, the bike and I slid into her passenger fender, right behind the tire well. Looking at the bike a couple days later, it looked like I slid forward and racked myself on the fuel tank, went through the large windshield(I assume through it because only a couple pieces on the arms were left), tumbled through the air and landed on the small of my back and bumping my head on the ground.
Beyond that, I just took my helmet off and made sure I could move my arms and legs. Pain was a whole other story. On a scale of 1-10 it was around 12, at least for me, never felt that kind of pain. Trauma wise, it didn't really hit me what happened till I was lieing in the ER and realized what could have happened after hearing all the fatal motorcycle accident stories. I ended up walking, albeit very very slowly, out of the hospital later that night and had groin pain(sitting mostly) and lower back pain(especially doing heavier lifting) for a couple months after that. Also, not exactly a physical injury but for a few weeks after the accident I would get real light headed if I stood up too quickly or lied down and my head was too far back. Felt much like being real light headed and not real balanced. As for the being racked, I had real black bruising all around the family jewels that lasted a few weeks at least.
The adjuster came by today, we talked a little bit about what I went through. I don't think I did the best job saying what I went through. I mean, I'm 19 and this is the first accident I've ever been in so I was a little nervous and didn't know what to expect. In the end, she said they could give me $2,000 because it was a soft-tissue type injury and said that statistics show accidents that result in broken bones, etc, usually settle around $4,500. I don't know any riders that would settle for that after broken bones and whatnot but hey, that's what the stats show.
Pics to give an idea of the situations in the intersection.

Here's a link to the pictures of the Madura. If the link doesn't work, just let me know.
