Good morning! My name is Dana and my husband Donald and I are the keepers of a 1990 Max. We bought him in 1994, and just got him back on the road AGAIN. 3 of his 4 coils were toasted, and thanks to the forum, we were able to figure out that they were busted and how to change them. So, huge thank you to the forums for posting on such things!!! Ride safe.

The 1970's traditional Yamaha yellow bodywork with the black/white broken stripe should remind older Yamaha owners /fans of King Kenny Roberts in AMA competition and then going to Europe to show 'em 'how to do it,' on the Grand Prix circuits.




Roberts' notorious TZ750 two-stroke four cyl he used on mile tracks. It scared him!

1990 was my first VMax. Got addicted with the help of the Mod Monkey and some old Houston Maxxers and the rest is history !
