Looking at getting more cornering and grip from my tires... what type of tire should i go for? looking at a pirelli sport demon for the front. but what should i get for the rear???

First off, be sure to research tires under the search function on this site. To save you the time, go Shinkos if sticky and cheap price is what you want. If you want longevity with decent grip but a little more money then Metzler 880s are for you. Man this outta be a sticky...

I went with the Metzler 880 on the rear and a lazer tec on the front. But it feels like Im riding on ballons compared to my radials.

Dunlop Roadsmart. I got caught in a big downpour on stock tires...not good! There was plenty of tread on them and I still did a lot of hydroplaning. My research showed that the Dunlop Roadsmart was one of the best all-weather tires available. Been running a pair for a year now and they are really good in corners and in the rain.

Good luck!

I ending up going with a New Avon Venom AM42 rear tire for 138 shipped. My front still has alot of tread still left. I've only gotten about 6000 miles out of my Dunlop Qualifier is that normal out of a rear tire?

I agree with kyle. I found really good pricing on shinkos at motorcyclesuperstore. Fast shipping. And last time I bought stuff it was free shipping. Not sure if it was a promotion or its like that all the time?

I just fitted a new dunlop qualifier on the rear (295?) because the last one inspired confidence and felt good in the wet but I only got 5000 miles out of it ,
it was ragged ha ha

+1 on the Roadsmart tires, if he has aftermarket wheels and can run radials:eusa_dance:
