Greetings everyone!
I am a the proud new owner of a 2005 VMAX 1200! Found locally, it's had an interesting life I think; sat outside in an Eastern Canadian winter most recently but it's pretty complete, managed to get it running already. For the low price I paid, it was a deal I could not resist.
The goal is to get it back to good running order and restore some OE parts in favor of the junky stuff that's been bolted on like a very poor set of forward controls.
Looking forward to finding some good references on here!
As for my story, not new to bikes, I've been riding for 45 years. Have a few other bikes in the stable already including a KTM Super Adventure, KTM EXC and Harley Fat Boy so the VMAX will fill a nice void for a naked/muscle bike that's been missing since I traded my KTM Super Duke.
Attached is a pretty poor picture of the bike loaded on my truck and arriving home.
