You want to see something better than Burma Shave signs?
These are Northbound on I-5 (88 miles south of Seattle).
The federal government is now petitioning to have these signs removed, or
Washington state will be denied additional monies for interstate highways.
The State of Washington replied, they will secede from the Union rather
than be intimidated. These are a matter of free speech paid for by a private
citizen. It seems the Obama government uses intimidation and ignores the first amendment when they want to silence someone. These signs are priceless.

Bravo for the man who created them.
Bravo for the state of Washington!

Only the ones that did have ins., and now don't. There are probably just as many that didn't have ins. before, and that now do (curtesy of John Q Taxpayer) that are still smilin' all the way to the Dr's office.

SpecOps, do you have a link to an article on this. Sounds like a good read. I can't see the pics either.

It's funny... I read all the time how Obama is infringing on peoples 1st amendment rights yet I've never seen more T-shirts, hats, bumper stickers, signs, novelty items, internet memes berating a president than I have seen done towards President Obama. Clearly the 1st amendment is alive and kicking.

But in the end it's just double standard bullshit. People only give a shit about the 1st Amendment when it applies to THEIR opinion. If it's a differing opinion, they want to shut it down. I remember the right going ape shit over the Dixie Chicks. Holding public protests smashing their CDs... radio stations refusing to play their music. They're no better than the left protecting Obama. And they all sport their shirts and hats that have the American flag on them claiming to be some patriot... but intolerance of a different opinion is about as un-American as you can be IMO.

Its my 2nd amendment rights that I'm worried about....

If 20 kids getting filled with bullets didn't change anything, nothing is going to.
Your guns are fine. My guns are fine(2 pistols and a shotgun). The gun industry is booming. Billions of dollars being made. And since we know D.C. is bought and paid for -- Congress will make sure that cash cow keeps getting milked. Fear is a powerful marketing tool to sell more guns and ammo. And it's been working like a charm so far hasn't it? Sure has.

There are a lot more dangerous things out there MORE dangerous than guns....This is from the CDC website...

There are approximately 80,000 deaths attributable to excessive alcohol use each year in the United States.1 This makes excessive alcohol use the 3r d leading lifestyle-related cause of death for the nation.2 Excessive alcohol use is responsible for 2.3 million years of potential life lost (YPLL) annually, or an average of about 30 years of potential life lost for each death.1 In 2006, there were more than 1.2 million emergency room visits and 2.7 million physician office visits due to excessive drinking.3 The economic costs of excessive alcohol consumption in 2006 were estimated at $223.5 billion.3

In 1927, an American socialist, Norman Thomas, six times candidate for President on the Socialist Party ticket, said that the American people would never vote for socialism but he said under the name of liberalism the American people would adopt every fragment of the socialist program.

Aw!!!!!!!! So the gun industry is behind all this BS we're seeing in the news lately? I want some of that Koolaide.

In the meantime, perhaps some of this polish will help put some shine on the situation: turd-polish.jpg

America has already proven it will buy into anything if it's sold correctly. Sure put liberalism on it and liberals will eat it up. The right will eat it up like idiots if it's sold with a Red, White and Blue wrapper -- Patriot Act anyone? Stupidity cuts both ways and isn't exclusive to either party.

That's not what I said at all. Or even implied at all. Follow the conversation and maybe you'll see I was simply stating our 2nd Amendment rights are just fine. But a little fear of the Barak O Boogeyman sure aint hurting the gun sales.

In case you missed my other point. I am a gun owner. Got a Luger passed down from my grandfather who got it of a Nazi he killed in WW2. Got a S&W .357 I've had since I was 18. Bought a Mossberg 500 last year. So if you think, I'm a liberal or some gun control person, you'd be wrong.

Original point mentioned 1st Amendment rights being infringed... I comment on that... then it gets switched to 2nd amendment... I comment on that... now it's CDC and turd polishing...:rofl_200:

I guess I'm just speaking another language here. Nevermind... carry on.

I didnt like the patriot act then....I dont like it now when it was renewed by Obama in 2011.

And my point still stands. Stupidity isn't exclusive to the left. The right is just as gullible. All you got to do is wrap it in the American flag and put the name Freedom or Patriot in it's name and it will get gobbled up.

The turd polish posted earlier? Came in a Bush version too -- which sort of circles back to my point -- different labels -- same shit underneath. The right will buy the Obama Turd Polish, the Left will buy the Bush -- I will buy neither.

Uuhhh, refusing to play the Dixie Chicks music and smashing their CDs is EXERCISING the first amendment, NOT TRYING to disable it. Fundamentally different, than THE GOVERNMENT trying to crush protest against it.

Except the government isn't crushing anything. The signs are still up aren't they? That video linked is a year old. Signs still up? I tried for a few minutes to actually find a legitimate source of this supposed federal petition to take the signs down. I couldn't find any. If you can find one, please link it because I'd like to read it. Tea Party rallies and protests on the national mall happened and other protests and rallies continue today with no government crushing it.

Again, I keep hearing about this supposed infringement of 1st Amendment rights, but I ain't seeing it.
