My battery has remained installed in the bike while I've been building a motor for the last year and a half with no maintenance charge that whole time.

It's been in the back of my mind that it was prolly gonna be crapped out.

I just put a meter on it before hooking up a trickle charger, it was still hikding 12.25 Volts.

Wouldn't a guessed that with it hooked up to the bike with whatever "drain" the old wiring in the bike might have.

I'm convinced, I never got a year and a half out of a regular lead acid battery even riding it regularly.

When I talked with odyssey, they said to put my dead battery on the charger with
10 amps for 12-16 hours it will not charge at a lower amp when it is discharged

My Oldest Odyssey has never dropped below 12.9v when checked. I believe it's 6 years old and crippled with a 2 pole starter and higher than normal compression it turns SkullDuggery over. Even when hot. I've never had a better battery....
