OE Shock length

What is the OE rear shock length? 13" or 13.5"

Uncompressed they should be 13.5 eye center to eye center stock.

I installed a set of VTX 1800 shocks that are 13 on center and love them!

I believe they are 13" actually.

Just measured an un-installed set and it is 13" eye center to eye center. I think Progressive says stock is 13.5" on their website. That may be what is causing the confusion.

Neil, the VTX shocks are 12.25 right?

Did they bolt right upsame bushings spacers etc...

How do they feel as compared to stock max shocks?

Just measured again and my stocks are indeed 13" uncompressed. Coors light and measuring don't go hand in hand after about 10 cans :biglaugh:.

My VTX shocks are on the bike and measuring around 12" compressed from the bike weight alone.

I had to machine the stock Vmax bushings down and press them into the VTX shocks to mount them. The VTX shocks don't have the right sleeves pressed into the rubber bushings in stock form.
