Oil pump fix.....quick question

The three bolts that hold the retaining ring.....I had to use a chisel ended punch to get them lose...so can i just use normal contersunk bolts ? There's no pressure on them...I'm guessing off the shelf from a bolt stockists.

Which bolts are you talking about related to the oil pump? Behind the driven gear? Previously countersunk allens? You can use any good quality countersunk fastener (which a stainless is ideal if you don't want to reuse a stock bolt).

To any that haven't done this yet it's not impossible....I admit to being very hesitant but after reading all the advice on here...of what to do and more importantly what NOT to do it all went well....stretched first circlip, second was perfect.

Now for the cam chains......woohoo....
