Decided I want a shift light. Wanted to get some pros and cons. Debating on which one. Raptor, SpeedHut, read about Ecliptech on here, do you think AutoMeter 5343 would work? Thanks.

We just put on the Autometer a few weeks back. The others are likely more waterproof though.

Sean

ecliptech is great. shift light/tach and voltmeter.

Personally, I'm not to keen on the AutoMeter 5343. Its big, bulky, and just looks too ugly on a motorcycle next to the speedo.
However, with the setup I'm running (no speedo or tach up top) I think it would go nicely. I also agree with Sean on it's waterproofness.

The eclipsetech is a neet unit with quite a few functions. If I were to replace my Harlen, I would go with another Raptor unit if your going to mount it on the speedo.

don't go harlan. i've bought two and have no working ones :-(

I just put on one of the raptors. Super easy hookup and easy to mount. Just used heavy duty Velcro stuck to the side of the speedo.

I agree, no support = no buy!:damn angry::damn angry::damn angry:
Mine is still working great. I wonder what happened to him. Seems like he just fell off the face of the earth.
I wonder too KJ, I still use mine and it works well. I did have to resolder one of the wires but that was easy enough to do. I had Tom @ Cycle One-off modify one of his mounts for a Raptor (needed to be 1" in diameter), made it very noticeable when it goes off while being tucked next to the speedometer.:punk:IMG_0131.jpg IMG_0132.jpg

That's how I mounted mine at first works very well. I must of had a spare $80 that the monkey saw... well, you know how the rest of that story goes!

I actually didn't realize the AutoMeter was 2 1/16" until someone said its would look too big on the speedo. Which is where I planned to mount it. Wonder if it would even fit under the instrument cowl? till leaning towards the AutoMeter because I like the readout on the front and I have used them for years in my other vehicles. How do you attach the Ecliptech?

Still running my Harlan with no issues, I would consider it a quality product, but if service and support have taken a dive then you might want to go with another manufacture...................Tom.

Maybe he passed away :confused2: . I mounted 1/2 of a two piece scope mount and 1", raised, scope ring.
