Hello Sirs,

Have anyone made new style Vmax`s backrest to old one.
I am tried hunt :bang headut such very low backrest to my -97 Max.
But looks that no one has not made such max. 3-4" inc. high backrests.

Let me know if somewhere is pictures or seller who make this kind backrests.

I have the yamaha backrest but I don't like it because I feel it is perched and protruding out too much, so I decided to shorten it to be somewhat like the GEN2 backrest height and fabricate a smaller cushion for it.
I just made a rough template from thin aluminium sheet but still have to work on it.

Get the noted Virago riser (from a 750 if I remember right) then drill/tap it out so you can attach your pad. Then you'll have your low sporting looking backrest. Someone posted a picture earlier this year of that exact thing.

i like my renntec one. smaller. you can find them with and without the luggage rack.
