Here's some stuff currently going on at my friend Steve's shop in Dania Beach FL.
1: Yes, our favorite bike in for carb work, not mine!
2: A Suzuki GS1150 engine going into a fabricated frame, w/a huge 11" x 15" M&H slick, they expect to break into the 3's in the 1/8 mile w/this. Their two-valve Kawasaki had a best of 4.07 in the eighth-mile at Countyline Raceway, Miami-Dade Co., FL. It turned in the 6's (6.87/193 mph) for the quarter-mile, see it on youtube, below.
3: Close-up of the block & etc, including the outer bearing support for the final drive. MTC block, Lectron carbs, etc.
4: Same bike, the heavily triangulated frame to ensure the engine doesn't twist, and the countershaft stays true in relation to the rear sprocket.
5: The rear wheel, 11" wide, 15" dia.
6: Another bike, a GSXR1100 for the street, the swingarm is the nitrous chamber. Steve is a NOS dealer/fill station.
7: A dyno sheet from a customer's Hyabusa running a wet shot 100 spray. 2006 cases, forged pistons, Carillo rods, 2012 crank, and the needed work to make it live.
All the machine work is done by one of two people at two different outfits.
