Yeah, That's what I did too.
I didn't need new bushings (3JJ-23125-00-00) or clips (26H-23156-00-00) because mine still looked really good.
But you should probably break your forks down and check those as well before you actually order any parts.
That way you can get everything you need shipped at the same time.

PS
Check out Sean's videos I added to my last post.

Thank ya! Might as well just order the dust covers too. I have watched Sean's videos about 10 times this week....amost getting kinda wierd. Lmao

Couple of more questions about installing my progressive springs with lowering kit on my 85. I have read and read and cant find the answers i need.
First...what size allen bolt is on the top of the forks under the cap? Seans video was on a newer bike that had a 22mm bolt. Im gonna need to buy an "allen socket" for my impact gun and need to know what size it is.

Second....what size is the allen bolt on the bottom of the forks?

Third....whatvis the best way to cut the inner tube? Chop saw?

Fourth....pvc pipe to seat the seal, what size? 1 1/2 inch seems like its gonna be too small and a 2 inch seems like its gonna be too big.

Thanks in advance for help. I just wanna make sure i have everything i need before tearing it apart. Im 20 miles from a tool store or Lowes and i want to be able to do it all at one time.

don't know about your year for the first 2 but the last 2:

PVC with a chop saw works well. Easy to cut squarely that way.

and PVC take a look at a chart like this: http://www.harvel.com/piping-systems/harvel-pvc-pipe/schedule-40-80/dimensions

to see if that works, however the best bet may actually be like a coupler with the inner lip ground down and then the next size PVC as a driver. use the old seals between the pvc and new seal if you can for a cushion.

Ok, maybe i didnt understand something. Sean sent me two pieces of pvc that were cut down to 4 and something inches.

Sounds like they are already pre-cut then (not sure dimensions they are supposed to be offhand)

Does the hex bit sockets have to be "impact" grade or will regular work?
