Questions on my new project

I'm about to take off my UFO exhaust and I was wondering,

1. what you guys suggestto use to clean them up once they are off

2. Is there a trick to geting out the old exhaust gaskets?


I forgot to tell ya that they are black ceramic exhaust.

To clean up the chrome I have used mother's shrome polish and some 0000 steel wool with great results.

As for the gasket, I have a picker for that. It kinda looks like a screwdriver with a little hook at the tip.

Thanks, I don't have that pick but I do have some dental cleaning utensils, maybe they will work??? My pipes are black ceramic.

They should work.

just the 0000 steel wool should doit with mild soapy degreasing water should get rid of the surface crud. Just use enough force to clean her up.

Try a test spot with Never Dull, then hand buff with micro fiber towel?

My exhaust gaskets usually just fall out.....if not just reach in with the ole finger!
