Tragic loss, hard to watch that happen. I can't believe they can't find something other than a concrete barrier past the sand pit.
 
Sad Day In Drag Racing

I WAS TOP END ON THE SPECTATORS SIDE OF THE TRACK ( RACEWAY PARK ) & SAW SCOTT KALITTA'S CRASH , I COULD'NT BELIVE MY EYE'S ! I KNEW HE WAS'NT COMING OUT OF THE WOODS, HE WAS SO HIGH & GOING SO FAST WE ALL KNEW HE HAD TO BE KILLED. YOU COULD HEAR A PIN DROP ! PEOPLE WERE CRYING ! I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE IT !

SORRY I DID'NT KNOW THERE WAS A THREAD AREADY STARTED ABOUT THIS !
 
Very sad...The NHRA needs to make these old tracks that were built in the 50's and 60's, when cars were doing 200, update for the 330+ cars of today...
