Rear Blinker Question

Hello folks first post.

My question, normally do the rear yellow lights stay on constant and then blink only when the turn signal switch is activated? Mine are constant off then blink when the turn signal is throw

My front yellow lights run constant on, and only blink when the turn signal switch is activated.

Stock lights on a 01 Max

fronts stay on rears do not

Correct. Front is 3 wire (run and signal) while the rear is signal only. Most states have a law that rear running lights can not be amber in color.

I never paid attention before, I recently worked on rear lights had to disconnect the wires. When I reassembled, the rears were off and I was afraid I had not reassembled correctly.

Your answers put my mind at ease.

Be sure to check blinker fluid regularly - both on the front AND rear.

Do you have a preferred brand of blinker fluid? Should I go for synthetic or regular?
