That's a very simple way to do it and been done a few times in the past. Nice pictures though to document the process. Not very bright in the overall scheme of things if you tried to use it as the only light on the bike.

IMO...for the 4 LED one

PROS:
Very bright, cheap, easy to install. easy fix if lights fails (any Walmart or parts store will have a replacement)....
If you can understand this.."had to make something work"
Cons:
to bulky..doesn't look OEM or like Scoobyvan's..

That's what I use, it can be a brake light or running light. That,along with lighting up the radiator cover reflectors. Just a little more viability for the cagers to see at night.

You have part number on reflectors for radiator covers?

I found mine on E-Bay, they are the same size as the stock reflectors. They are LED and fit into the pocket on the radiator covers. I use them as running lights, but they could be directionals too.
