Rods 'n Rockets Father 'n Daughter Outting

Got tired of the daughter wasting away another weekend in front of Disney Channel. So I plopped her on the back of the Max and hauled her to a local car show. Hehehe, it wasn't as bad as pulling teeth from a hen as I might be making it out to be. My 10-year-old loves riding the bike. The beautiful 85-degree, 63-percent-humidity, and clear blue skies might have also helped convince her. We had a slight scare on the way to the show, though. The car show was at Port Canaveral, which is about 30 minutes away and after crossing over the first of two causeways, the salty winds and warm sunshine prolly lulled her into a nap. Her startled awakening rocked the bike a bit causing us to weave a couple times. Lesson learned: next time we BOTH are having a cup of joe before heading to the Port. Hehehe.

This was her first car show, and I was surprised how much she loved it.

On the way back, we pulled up next to a dad and daughter riding their Honda Goldwing at a stop light. After looking over the Max and undoubtedly having a couple earfuls of my Marks 2-1/4s, the dad looked over and gave me the best compliment I've heard in a long while. He said "That shore don't sound like no Yamaha. I like it."

Both my daughters (8 and 13) love riding on the back of mine and my wife's bikes too. My oldest is saying she wants her first car to be a motorcycle. I'm not too sure about that.
