Rooms for Thunder

I have two rooms at days inn of sumerset if anybody needs one. I will be canceling the rooms friday. one might be taken and i need to let todd have first dibb's on one of them.

Well, looks like I'm screwd again this year for Thunder! 2 nights ago the shaft/gear on my MadMax transfer case broke the shaft away from the gear! ****! This time it's the rear shaft. I really wish I could get someone to design something that does away with this damn transfer case. I started pulling the swingarm last night but something is holding the universal from letting the front shaft from sliding out. I'm gonna work on it again tonight but talked with the guy that Tig welded the front shaft and he said he's real busy and it's gonna be awhile till he can fix anything. He can't even look at it till Monday so I guess I'll cancell my room at the days inn and ******* hope for next year. ****!!!

I have a spare final drive I got from Kyle if it would help you out.

I also have a front universal drive assy.

No VMax drive shaft though.

I think its a custom set up so the final drive won't help. He said transfer case not final drive is the problem

Yea, thanks anyway, it's a shaft into gear chained to another gear then shaft outta the second gear. I'll post some pics tomorrow. I got it all apart tonight and I broke the rear shaft out of the gear that leads to the main shaft. Also cracked the front shaft( had Tig welded before) so now it's gonna be a waiting game to see when my buddy can Tig and polish both. He works for Herr-Voss. They do industrial machine work. He does mine as a favor but I wish I could find a different design that would work with my 250 rear tire. MadMax ( Paul Crivitello) won't work with me at all and says the same setup I have he sells for about $8000 now. I just wanted to buy the shaft/gears but he still wants thousands. WTF!! I just want it fixed once and for all!!!! But THANKS for real for your offer! I really do appreciate it Dingy! I refuse to give up on this even though most would have by now.

Wow! So sorry to hear your not going to be able to make it. I was looking forward to meeting you along with all the others that are coming this year. I wish you luck on getting your bike fixed.

Just got off the phone with Paul Civitello (MadMax) and he told me he would sell me new gear/shafts for $490.00 each. So I guess eventually I'll have to either buy them which are all one piece now opposed to welded like mine unless I can get them made cheaper but I'm still gonna have to have mine welded again for now until I come into money. Can't afford this **** right now! So have fun everyone at Thunder and I guess I'll call Bill K and see if he can at least pick up my tshirt from VmaxMike. Nothing like getting a shirt from an event I can't attend! Damn it!!

A broken bike is about the only good excuse to miss a bike event. Nobody thinks you're wimping out or anything. You're only a short drive away from Thunder - stop in anyway, have a beer or six with us, and enjoy the event.

I'm still scrambling to try to make this happen. I tales with another guy this morning and he's gonna see if he can Tig these shafts for me. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Not getting my hopes up cause then it won't work out but I am staying optimistic. I'll try..

I have heard a few guys not going to Thunder now so there might be a few rooms at the Days Inn opening up this week. To anyone interested, I would call daily to check or post here the need to find a roommate.
