Shift Light

Been looking for a waterproof shift light with little success. Anyone had any experience with this one on eBay?

Harlan is waterproof and cheaper.

It looks cool, but if you are going to have it that low why not just look at your tach? I have a harlen also.

i think u'd catch a 'light' out of the corner of your eye even lookign straight ahead.

I run the Harlan and been through numerous 2+ hour riding in rain and washings over the 2.5 years I had it with no issues.
My tank bag will block the tach when it's really full so I hardly ever look at it and rely on the shift light for all high RPM shift points.

The Harlan website I visited did not say it was waterproof so I wasn't sure. I thought someone in another thread said they had problems with the Harlan when it got wet? Maybe it was a different make. :confused2:

Don, Raptor's have problems but never an issue with my Harlan. It's been dumped on several times.

mine has gotten wet and it got flaky. dried after a while and i put a silicone sort of cover on it. its flaking out again as at low RPMs it will randomly come on.

Yes that was me, my Harlan got wet a few times and the inside rusted. I messed up when ordering and got the non- waterproof one. I sent it back and he is making it right, should be here today.

I have a raptor shift light and i used a large clear piece of heat shrink tubing to make it water tight . JIM

Yes that was me, my Harlan got wet a few times and the inside rusted. I messed up when ordering and got the non- waterproof one. I sent it back and he is making it right, should be here today.

What is the difference between the waterproof and non-waterproof model? Please let us know how it works. There is nothing on his website that explains the difference or shows pics of both units.
