Made an interesting find yesterday...the amber signal light bulbs from an '06 will not work in a '99...the locking posts on the amber bulbs are not opposite each other, as they are with the clear bulbs, therefore the sockets for the amber and clear are configured differently also.
So, if anyone is thinking of switching signal lenses from orange to clear, you will need to go to the auto parts for the amber bulbs that will fit your sockets.
Or switch out all four signal assemblys.
