I removed my OEM rear signal lights recently to make room for my new saddlebags. I relocated some "minis" to my license plate area using a custom mounting bracket. I used some cheap incandescent types until I can afford a good set of LED's this coming off-season. But for now they're working but just blinking too quickly for my taste.

I figure it's because they're a smaller resistance/wattage value than my OEMs it causes the flasher to work too quickly.

So onto the question.......How can I calculate the resistance I need of a resistor to put into the circuit to put the blinking back to normal??

TIA.

Not sure about the math and all that but try some 1ohm 10W resistors from Radioshack. $2 for a pack of 2. Wire one into each side left/right. I was going to do the same but opted for changing the flasher relay to an ELFR. Custom dynamics has one that works well. Kenny had posted up one that works that is cheaper but I can't remember wher that post is.

Thanks, Mike.

Nope. 1 Ohm @10W didn't affect it at all. Any other suggestions??
