This is probably the biggest motorcycle event of the year in south Florida, thousands of bikes and many-more people! Be sure and check-out the bands, they have multiple stages and it's always rockin'! They have vendors, but they are heavily slanted towards the H-D crowd. it is a very entertaining time. Plus, it's a charity benefit to provide kids w/some joy at Christmas they may not otherwise get. :eusa_dance::punk:

Pembroke Road West to I 95 North to I 595 West to 136th Ave exit (you can only head west on a frontage road which is actually State Road 84) to SR 84 West, to the Markham Park entrance. Fire-medic note: You will be passing-by the regional FL Highway Patrol barracks; :biglaugh: also, the I 595 route is undergoing extensive roadwork, there is uneven pavement, many patches, ground-off sections of pavement where your bike will lurch like a 10"-over chopper that just broke its steering head loose from the frame downtubes, while crossing a puddle of ATF...
The motorcycle parade begins at the Mardi Gras Casino, Hallandale Beach, Florida and ends with a party at Markham Park in Sunrise, Florida.*
Enjoy live music, lots of vendors, Classic Car Show, Bike Show,
an international food court and plenty of cold beer and soda.*
Event cost is $10 and one unwrapped toy per person.*

The Mardi Gras Casino is located at 831 North Federal Highway, Hallandale Beach, FL 33009.*

Any questions regarding campground, park hours, or anything park related,
please call Markham Park direct at 954-357-8868.

Be sure & check-out the website, plenty of pics from prior years. They also often get some surprise guests who choose to show-up on-stage unannounced. Steven Tyler and Kid Rock have appeared in the past. I saw The Kid when I was entering the park once, he looked every-bit the rock star, on a $$$ chopper.

This is the day, and on my way north from Miami this morning, the FL Highway Patrol (FHP) & Broward Sheriff's Office (BSO) were positioned to shut-down the Interstate for the four hours it takes to get the riders through the route from near the ocean to near the Everglades.

I suggest if you are riding there, bring a can to slip-under your sidestand, as they park bikes on the grass, and it's soft.

Just got back, saw 1 other VMax & suspect it's someone from here. No owner by it. I think I have seen the paint scheme on here before.

They had lots of vendors, lots of food concessions, and about 60' of the local "Outlaws" chapter selling mostly t-shirts. There was also a car show & bike show, but I saw more cars than bikes, maybe I just didn't get there at the right time, but there were some nice cars. Sorry, but I can't get the site to accept anything more than these, I'll try later. :confused2:

Some additional posts now. The lowrider I tried to see the hydraulics, but I couldn't. A good-lookin' 2 X 4 hi-rise, vintage-quality pinstriping, and nice details, dunno if I would want to use it on the expressway though.
