The owner is an attorney who is very successful, his hobby, and now a business is collecting cool items from motorsports, including bikes. His employees are a couple of retired Yamaha dealership mechanics, whom I have been acquainted with since they were at the dealership in Ft. Lauderdale, Broward Motorsports, located to the major marine port for Ft. Lauderdale, Port Everglades. The dealership lost its location in a public taking for port expansion, and located out closer to the Everglades. Both these guys were working there at the original dealership for the launch of the VMax, in the fall of 1984. My FZR1000 was purchased there, and one of them may have done the prep.
The VMax they have is surely a 'blue-bottle wonder,' it has lots of the popular bolt-on speed accessories, and these bikes get exercised to maintain them in operable condition.
This Sunday, January 29, there is an open house at the museum, a good chance to see their stock. 104 SW 23 St. Ft Lauderdale FL.
