Hi everyone, I'd like to have your thoughts on the Stage 7 kit before I buy one... I have a 2003 bike (pic attached) with a Hindle 4-1 exhaust and I'd like to improve its performance a bit, so a stage 7 with velocity stacks seemed a good option. Is this setup the best bang for the buck? If so, where's the best place to buy, considering I'm in Canada? Thanks for your opinions!

i would talk to sean morley ([email protected]). he can sell you a stage 7 or his own jet kit which is similar but cheaper and retains the airbox.

a lot of guys like his kit because it has a better midrange. as far as HP gains they are very similar.

my 89 on stage 7, cone filters and early 4-1 hindle made 133rwhp which was surprising

hey man, where abouts in quebec are you? i got a stg 7 on mine with a kerker 4 into 1 havent got a chance to dyno it but runs good. for sure id go with that or like garrett said call sean, his kits seem to work real well in everyones bikes. cant go wrong with either choice.

was thinking about the same kit from Sean Morley also. anyone know how hard they are to put in and set up ? Hey Phil what kind of fairing is that and were did you get it ? looks way cool!

not very hard at all, just takes time. hardest part is putting the tubing on, from what i hear.

i had a shop do mine and then i re-did it. get a competent tuner with a dyno and they should have it within 4 hours. i'd also ask for stg7 needles.

otherwise be prepared for a lot of trial and error but we can guide you there.

my local shop ran the bike then told me what to change and i'd change it and he'd go work on something else, then come run it again and go from there. it was much cheaper.

I found the Morley kit to be an easy install and the setup wasn't bad either.
I'm running the stg 7 needles with it as well.

Thanks jojo2667, I like it pretty much. Unfortunately, I think it was custom made ; the previous owner did a couple of esthetic mods...And by the way, I'm in Chicoutimi, Quebec.

I did look at Morley's kits, but choosing among all the options he lists on his website doesn't seem easy. Do I absolutely have to send him my airbox lid? Because if so, with shipping costs, it won't be cheaper than a Stage 7 kit. Is anyone aware of a good shop in Canada that sells the Dynajet kits?

no you don't have to send it back to him, just makes it cheaper for you. did you talk to him yet?

yea i'd say that windscreen is custom!

His kit also has more stuff in it than the stg 7.

The higher end stg 7 with the puke can and individual K&N filters costs considerably more than the Morley kit.

def

most people think the air filters come with the kit.

I think there is a comparison / dyno test , of Seans kit and Stage 7 kit with various combos of exhaust being done. I haven't heard the results yet , so I'm guessing the testing is still on hold ??

We make the same peak hp but more midrange and lowend power. You are correct. The normal stage seven doesn't come with filters and only 2 sets of jets to pick from. I can however sell any dynojet kit you'd want (though I am not sure what for).
