Tried to wake my max from its winter nap today after recharging the battery :eusa_dancetried yesterday but completely dead). Nothing but a clicking from the solonoid, so i pealed the rupper cover back and discovered alot of rust and broke the starter wire off (IT may have been broken already).:bang head:
Would that rusted wire be the issue since a connection was obviously being made because it was clicking??:ummm:
Anyways i removed it so i could clean it up but the pole/nut the ignition wire was on just turns within the unit, is this normal?
So my option now is to solder a wire directly to the pole, buy a new STARTER RELAY ASSY from yamaha for 60$ (seems steep) or find a used one(not sure if new ones work for my 85).
Any input would be appreciated.
