I thought I would throw this out there. I've had quite a bit of problems with Startron fuel stabilizer in the Max. With the recommended amount added to the tank it messes up my idle circuit. Every time I use it I have to clean the idle circuit. I have eliminated the fuel station I use as being the issue. When I add the Startron within 3-6 miles my idle circuit messes up. I had this happen several times now...... Right now I'm riding quite a bit so I'm not using any stabilizer and life is good, bike is running great.

Anyone else had this issue?:ummm:

We had a customer at the marina who always insisted on using the "enzyme" fuel treatment for winterization, instead of a dose of the blue sta-bil from our big drum of the stuff. He'd go buy it and insist we use it, so we did.

His boat wouldn't start in the spring and the carb was all clogged up with crap. His gas also had a very odd smell to it....not the old gas varnish scent, it had a faintly...."septic" aroma to it.

If your bike runs fine on plain pump gas, and it should (e10 or not), there's no need to add some magic potion at every fill up. For storage, yes, if that tank is going to be gone in a few days/hours, it's purely a waste of money.
