Today I went to a large machine shop to hopefully cure the issue I'm having with my MadMax swingarm. A good friend suggested I see this guy who runs the shop. I showed him the shaft/gear that broke and in the middle of the discussion he said " if you want to see a real hotrod bike look at this" and as he turned to show me I saw a picture hanging on the office wall. Sure enough it was a picture of a Vmax!! So I said that's exactly the bike I have and proceeded to show him pictures of mine." Ok no problem" he said, it it was any other bike I wouldnt even try but since he was a former Vmax owner he said he'll do his best to help me. I even told him that once I get it going again I'll bring it out to show him and even let him take it for a ride. He declined taking it, something about his wife killing him, lol, but it just goes to show the Legend lives on!! We then starting swapping Vmax stories and he looked like a kid at Christmas looking at my pictures. So with a little luck, I'll make it to thunder next week. It was just so cool to meet someone who had the same love for the baddest *** bike ever made. Ed
