Thet-boost module actually allows you to run the v-boost in the "turned off", on at 3,000 or on at the stock setting of 6,000 rpm`s with a 3 way mini toggle switch.
I mounted mine where I can control it while riding without any difficulty.

Areally big bang for only $40.00.:th_image003:

Now I can open Gamorg's pic. That white connector, that's the one? Cool.

Until I can scrape up another $40 for the switch, anyway.

Yah like this.That piece is cheap to replace. I have several switches mounted like this. 3 on each side. Tons of room.

Here is a bigger picture of where I put mine, I just checked for clearance then drilled the hole.

The instructions that come with the kit I posted about earlier has pretty thorough instructions complete with pictures. It took about 5 min to remove seat and side cover and another 5 to install the t-boost.

the scoop is plastic? :confused2::ummm:

yea shawn i share your same ideas.. drilling the scoops was just not something i wanted to do...

190, if their stock , they should be cast alum. I know they make aftermarket ones out of plastic and fiberglass.
Never fear tho,..I see plenty of them on eBay if you ever wanted to replace it.

yea, +1 on that, those look stock to me 190 and look aluminum from the pic

Wow,I would never drill the scoop!That plastic frame cover up over itis a lot cheaper to replace later.

Sometimes ya have to do what ya have to do:clapping:

I removed my V-BOOST all together and sat it on the entertainment center in my living room for a conversation piece..

"Turbo like effect" :rofl_200::rofl_200:

I guess Nitrous feels like some Rockets Launchers..

3.........2............1 ok ok off to the next thread

Not all of us are all about straight-line speed, Lankee. Nitrous must be fantastic, but I don't give a darn about running the drag strip, except to watch the competition. I really love to take the corners hard, AND I love the Vmax bad handling and all. I'm determined to find the place where the two can meet without breaking the bank.

The swingarm/frame brace/wider wheel/upside down forks are a long way away financially, but at least I can turn off the Vboost in the twisties, until I get very familiar with the bike anyway.

Statistically the first 6 months with a new bike, riders are much more likely to have an accident, I'm just mitigating the risks while still taking my Vmax to Deal's Gap this spring.

I am just not a dragracer I ride on the weekends with friends that have sport bikes. Most of our weekend rides are 2 lane backroads on windy, hilly TN backwood roads. You know the type of raods that have "Caution L turn 15MPH" 'Single Lane Bridge Ahead" Caution Falling Rock etc. People that own a VMAX and install nitrous are looking for that 65MPH+ accleration that the stock VMAX lacks in, this is used on highway roll on's out of high speeds turns etc. I installed Nitrous after not being able to pull away from a Mid 90's mustang at a 85MPH roll on out on the highway.
We all get used to bikes at our own pace. I am glad you are one that knows your limitations and doesnt push it. Rather here about your progression rather then road rash..

Heehee I have lots of stories you'll never hear, about how I'm still learning my limitations!!! And if you ever meet my riding buddies, they promised not to tell too! You are very right about the road rash, I'd much rather "mother" another rider with advice than scrub the grit out of their bloody raw elbows and knees.

Besides, the Vmax is the most beautiful bike I've ever owned, and the only bike I ever lusted over for years based soley on looks. THEN I rode one and went crazy for it! I can't bear the thought of taking it sideways, or ripping up the gearset by riding badly. But hell the rest of it is tough, right?

I got a paint set. When I can, prolly next winter, I'm going to have a pink Vmax. Dark metallic magenta, to be exact. Will any of you still speak to me then?

I'll have you know, missy, that pink is my favorite color, flavor and texture. It's your machine, do what you want with it. Won't hold it against you at all. I got the yellow for mine at Napa. Had them change the name on the can to "War Kitten Butterscotch". Paint man was laughing his *** off as I walked out the door. He wasn't laughing when I brought Mr. Max back and showed him the goods. Diversity is the strength of groups. More power to you ma'am.:punk:
