Swap '88 forks for newer?

If I've read correctly, I can replace the standard '88 forks with something post-'92 if I replace both triples and the calipers as well, yes? Will the standard wheel from an '88 still work? (Digital speedo, so the speedo drive isn't an issue)

Yes, as along as you get the complete front end (triples etc). The wheels from all Gen 1 are interchangeable.

You will also need the newer brake rotors (larger diameter). Or you could get cute wave ones off fleaBay like many of us did - they do look great and improve breaking a little too.
