taper bore

does anyone know if the stock vmax carbs can be taper bored to gain more horsepower mid to top end, and if this procedure really gives you more horsepower

My carbs on my old XS were bored, it did make a difference. I don't know about the Vmax carbs. The guy who flowed and bored my carbs isn't around anymore. I think it would be a nice in-between mod for the 1260's and 1300 powerplants.

My last experiment with Sean failed so no - they can not be bored.

when you say failed, you mean that there is not enough material to bore or the experiment did not work
