I got My bike back together last night. I changed the battery to the Panasonic AGM battery that was recommended on vmaxoutlaw.com and thought I would fire it up. After a couple of stutters, she fired right up and ran great. a couple pops here and there but I figured that was to be expected when it was just under 40 degrees in the shade. My wife came outside when she heard me fired it up and she was super excited that it started so easily. Every spring on my maxim I had to take out the plugs and burn the carbon off with a blow torch just to warm up the plugs before it would start. So I took her around town a little bit and noticed that the rear brakes were a little tight. I got back to the house and realized that I had put the washer in the wrong spot. I put it between the caliper mount and the wheel instead of between the swing arm and the caliper mount. I never broke 30 mph and only rode for about 1.5 miles. Anyone think that would cause an issue in that little amount that I rode it like that? :confused2:

Needless to say however, it was nice to get out on the bike again and ride around a bit. After I changed the washer back to it's correct position the brakes lined back up and everything was normal. I couldn't believe the difference in the ride quality after having upgraded the front springs and tires this winter. It was like a night a day difference.:rocket bike:

Is it getting warm enough for anyone else out there in the northern parts to get out for the spring yet?

That's a pretty short ride. Is there any bluing on the disk? If not then no issues!:thumbs up:

Nope no bluing, just the light scoring that was there when I got the bike.

It was pretty short but the sun was going down and the rodes around here are realy crappy right now. I didn't want to get it too dirty.
