So ive been looking into strutting the rear of my bike in an effort to eek out the best et. Possible. But I've found some conflicting opinions. I've always strutted my previous bikes as many others have with good results but they were chain drive bikes. I found one post from Sean Morley where he says that the v-max actually loses traction. Is this caused by the shaft or some combination of the v-maxs weight, geometry, power delivery? Any thoughts? I do see that the "taking it too the nines" bike had struts. Would it have been quicker with shocks and they made a mistake caused by inexperience with shaft bikes?

Any thoughts?

My experience with struts is without a super sticky tire it's going to lose traction. With a slick then that seems to work well. Not sure if the jacking effect is what causes it or not?

I've saved a stock wheel from a 92' for just that. Is there a particular slick that you might know of that will fit within the confines of the stock swing arm?
