I was wondering if I use aluminum oxide media on our faux cap, scoops & side cover tins if it would be too rough on those parts? Or should I use glass bead on them or a combination? Or something else? Thanks for the advice.

I would try baking soda first before getting too aggressive.......

I am sure others with more experience will chime in.....:confused2:

:punk: Hey, I would just use a good paint stripper otherwise you will have to do alot of sanding to get them in good shape again. Good Luck, Spur

I used glass beads on my scoops and faux tank. I sent the scoops off for chrome and the faux tank to the paint shop.

Glass bead is about as rough as you want to get.
