there certainly is. more than any other poll in recent history.

the anonymity of it helps i think.
Seems many have voted and added a commentary explaining there stance. I am encouraged by that. I believe there should be a willingness to debate and discuss, something not possible in many, if not most, other countries.

It really isn't honest to take partial quotes and question them. Politicians and so-called news people do it all the time to add a different meaning to what someone actually said. You can read this posts and figure it out. I have taken a dislike to one person who is continuing trying to put me in a box so I can be labeled and dismissed. I refuse to be boxed in by a label. I am a liberal, conservative, socialist, capitalist, *******, good guy, biker, church going, agnostic, spiritual, all at once depending on the subject. I refuse to be defined by artificial bounderies. I urge everyone to free their minds and don't let others define you. I don't agree with Rand Paul but I think he did a service talking about the U.S. drone program. There is a backlog on drones because they are being bought by Police Forces all over the country. The "private" is being removed from "citizen" very quickly. But I don't believe unrestricted access to firearms is an answer. People need to be secure going about their business, rights need to be protected and violence can be checked. I believe all three can be done.

Well, that's where it kind of falls apart Dave....EVERYBODY needs to be secure, not just a few of us who have the luxury of 'escaping'....so that still leaves the issue of the 'bad guys', what about them? They're the ones causing all the violence.....I still haven't heard any recommends from you regarding how they should be handled. All I hear is..."remove the guns"....it's GOT to be sinking in that that's not gonna happen and in fact, isn't even possible.

Just about every night on TV there are local shooting deaths in the news....when finally pinned down to an answer regarding the number of these shootings involving legally owned guns, the Albany County DA reluctantly admitted.....none of them, zero....zilch!! Not one of the numerous local shootings involved a legally owned gun.

You refuse to be defined by artificial boundaries....that's good, it's your right. And by the same token....I refuse to be held responsible for the acts of Adam Lanza, that jerk in Webster NY who shot the firemen or the fruitcake who shot up the theater in Aurora....I didn't know them, have nothing in common with them and nothing in my life makes me, in any way, responsible for their actions.

My vote.....I don't give a ****...I like getting in there and bitchin a little and sometimes just don't even want to see it ...so I don't. Don't click on a link then ***** about being there,,,,,I mean it is in the Burnout section....just my two cents

You do the same thing to gun owners on here all the time, free your mind.. You have a few good ideas and there is no doubt in my mind your a good guy in person and just saying what you think is right but as soon as you start talking about "gun owners buying guns with barrels bent 180 degrees and that'll solve the problem" then I stop listening to you and label you as a tool.. There is a good reason your not well liked around here but I still support your right to say those things.

Oh that! Just trash talk, I didn't mean anything by it. Please don't take it so seriously. The reality is there is no market for guns with bent barrels. But the idea. It would be like the Darwin awards.

I don't see where one goal has to exclude the others. I happen to agree with you that you are not responsible in any way for that other stuff and it would be absurd to try to claim otherwise. That being said they are many people who are trying to hold Obama responsible for the killing of a Border Patrol Agent.

I'm a Democrat. I voted for Obama. Twice.
I feel George W. Bush was a total incompetent ****, not fit to run an anthill.
Mitt Romney would have been a disaster for the working people of America.
I'm not a gun owner. Have no interest in them, never saw the need for one.
I don't care if gays get married.
I hate war and think it is a waste of money, and more importantly - LIFE!

I have no interest in endlessly reading about other peoples convictions, even if I agree with them.

I ride a Yamaha VMax. I hear there are a lot of people here who sometimes post about these bikes, therefore I keep coming back to this forum to read, learn and comment about Yamaha VMaxes....

I'll NEVER favor the silencing of any political jabbering - I just won't bother reading it. Not to be disrespectful of those with strong opinions, but I am just not interested....

HOWEVER - I will argue till I'm blue in the face to make sure you have the right to post opinions here or anywhere..........

That being said ------ 11 days till SPRING! We made it!:punk:

I guess it's how you look at it. Is Obama responsible for the killing of osama bin laden. He didn't pull the trigger, but it was ordered to happen by his regime. In the same way, he Didn't kill that border patrol agent, but it was his regime that ordered the illegal weapons to Mexico, that were used in his death. I believe that you would have to take responsibility for actions taken, good or bad

Bill,

Best you not read these posts if you find them so disturbing.

Obama is anything but against using our troops for warlike activity, Libya, Africa, Afghanistan and his surge, Drones, all those abortions he loves so much.

Yes, Bush was a fail, I did not care for Romney, but knew for a fact that Obama was another fail, so knowing what I knew and how serious it was, Romney got my vote.

You should forget party affiliation and put your country first, not some corrupt political party run by hacks.

O

I'm a Democrat. I voted for Obama. Twice.

I used to be a Democrat, also. But that was back in the days when the Democratic Party was all about helping the "little guy" get ahead and make something of himself. Over time however, the Party has morphed into the Demo-Socialist Party, more concerned with offering freebie programs keeping people on the public dole, in exchange for their votes. We need to get back to being a country where the work ethic is more important than gov't handouts. Unfortunately, there are many many good people out there who still vote the Democratic Party Line simply because they always have, not recognizing the changes which have been creeping in for decades.
One of my wake-up calls came years ago, when Bill Maher (yes, I used to watch him) interviewed a Socialist Party official. He said "A Socialist could never be elected president running as a Socialist. But that doesn't matter now, since the Democratic Party has adopted most of our platform."

Depends on what country you are from mostly I guess. I am not all that familiar with the US constitution and don't understand the passion around some of the "rights".

I personally don't find it annoying but it is distracting to see such polarization on a site of passion and dedication.

I would expect that people from all countries would have some interest in rights. Also, a great deal of the passion you may be percieving is likely due concern of a socialist takeover of those very rights. This entire nation was founded after a bloody war fought to establish and keep these rights, freedoms and liberties.
I was having a discussion with a person from Europe recently and it was clear to me they had no real grasp of liberty, they blindly accepted government control of Orwellian scope. He is a by product of a society without those tenants.

A really good friend of mine lives in England....her father was a policeman, so she grew up with guns...well as much as you can in England. The father hunts, and so has a rifle. It is in the attic CHAINED to the chimney...so I guess it doesnt suddenly "break loose" and go on a killing spree. Point being, people from other countries dont understand the American concept of Liberty.

I hate politics, and politicians.
The vast majority of politicians are two faced hustlers, and corporate pimps, in my opinon. Most are dedicated to fulfilling their own personal agenda, or the agenda of those who "paid " to put them into office.
The better they pimp out their services; the longer they stay in office.

The attached photo is my message to every damn one of them.
**** em all!

P.S. Do a little research; check out the number of multimillionaires in the U.S. House of Representatives, and Senate. Purely accidental, right? :confused2:

Politics sucks.
American politics more so. OMG, some of you guys are CRAZY.

Who gives a ****? NOT ME!!!

I appreciate that if I want to know what some Americans think, I can look at it. It's not all over the forum, it's in the right spot.
So, although I don't give a ****, I am saying "Nope, perfect as it is", because having the option to read it and learn about what you guys are fighting for, is something worth having.
