I get the Cycle Gear catalogs but never visited one of their stores, but today I did. I bought a tool not of much use on most VMaxes, a chain breaker/riveter. Motion Pro sells one for around $100, this one was on sale for $40. I bought a new set of sprockets & chain for my FZR1000 but had not yet installed them, now I will be able to w/o running over to my friend's shop to have the master link riveted.

Their clothing looks like a good deal. They have helmets, leathers, MX clothing & gear, tires, tools, if you go there you can probably find something you can use. Their prices on gloves were good too.

I could have gotten a smart battery charger for lead-acid batteries, half-price, but since I have lithium ion batteries in my two street bikes, I don't really need one.

If you haven't been to your local Cycle Gear shop, I bet you find something you can use, either for on your body, in the shop, or on your bike. And, you will still have $ to take your girlfriend/wife out for dinner!

They do have some good deals. I deal in Tucker Rocky,Parts unliminted, Drag specialties, Custom Chrome, Bikers chice & a couple others but a lot of times I cant match there deals. I guess since there a big outfit they get better deals than me.

I never got why people used rivet links.

I've never used anything but clip links....atv's, dirt bikes, street bikes. Never had one come off or break, or heard of one failing.

Plus I hate buying "uni task" tools, especially when they're expensive, unnecessary, and seldom used.

Wish I had a big MC store near me. None of the local dealers have a very good selection of gear or accessories. And you pay dealer prices. all my gear came from dennis kirk, MC superstore, or ebay.

Ft Myers Fl Cycle gear closed this past year. ****** neighborhood probably didn't help. Everyday prices just OK but clearance, sale days, coupons made worthwhile. Cheaper than stealerships everyday but they have to carry stuff for everything which ain't easy. Helmets, riding gear, and maintenance products always good though.
I don't think we have a cycle supply place anymore. When I lived in Dayton Ohio, they had K&K Motorcycle Supply. ( no sales to the public). Good thing I did not get a job there! Could be dangerous!
