Iv been shopping around for a used toy hauler. Camper up front. Drive up ramp and storage behind to pull with a 1 ton.

Found allot of users say many of these toy haulers are junk from the factory (built like a mobile home) and to get a quality enclosed car trailer and convert it. Or a horse trailer because its built for more weight.

Anyone have something like that? Or one for sale?

Shala and I bought a 33' Raptor. I can't back it worth a poo, but it works for us. It has all the bells and whistles, including fuel storage in case you go far from the beaten path.

There's a lot of em to choose from - money being the main object. Just make sure you get one with a dove tail rear loading ramp. Our first one was a 2004 Rampage, and didn't have the dove tail - always "rigging" something under the rear door to NOT scrape the bikes' pipes loading and unloading.

A stock bike scraped? Mines lowered.

Dove tail..Is that a ramp with two angles?

My big enclosed has a small dovetail to it and it does help a lot. Even the really low bikes go on without any problems. The only bike we have a problem with is the dragbike when it has the wheelie bar on it. The bike rides on the bar on the rear before you can get it far enough forward to get the front tire inside.

Instead of being flat all the way back typically the last few feet (anywhere from 4-6 feet or more) is slightly angled downward like a "pre ramp" to help cut the loading angle.

I thought you were talking way out of my league but I see that going with something used may really be a way to go. It might be a really good thing I have a 4:56 gear in my Dodge. That would be a good way to get out of town and be comfortable while doing it.

That thing would be a wheelie monster as tall as it is.

Dove tail is where the rear foot or more of the TRAILER is angled downward to where the ramp is hinged = much better load/unloading angles.

I smacked the shiiite out of my pipes going into my first 5th wheel toyhauler. It had no dove tail. My new RV 5th wheel has it, and loading the max is a ride on event now - no stopping, no rigging of the ramp, no hassle.

I'm not a big fan of the fairings covering most of the motor and half of the rear wheel, but other than that I want one!!! Who/where does it come from - one off?
