Triple Tree Bottom Diameter Modification

Hi all:

I hope you're all staying warm.

I have a question for you:

My Max is using 1994 Yamaha YZF750 USD forks with a beautiful custom-made triple tree. The triple trees have a 50mm top diameter clamp and a 56mm bottom diameter clamp.

Someone has recently given me a set of 1998 Yamaha R1 forks that I really want to install. The problem is, these call for a 50mm top clamp BUT a 54mm bottom clamp triple tree.

I'd love to know if any of you are aware of anyone who can make sleeves for the bottom clamps of the triple tree to reduce the clamp diameter from 56mm to 54mm. These would have to be vertically split, of course, so they could put pressure on the fork tubes to hold them in place.

Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated!

Your local machine shop should be able to do that without a problem.
