that url only has the pictures and the last picture is quite deceiving since you don't see any wires connected like you do for the pre 90 models.

in the pre 90 models the pic shows both wires being de-pinned but reading the directions for my 01 it appears on the orange/white wire is de-pinned. that is why i was confused.

figure 7 looks about right to me, colours might be off tho. but from what u described its how mine was set up when i had it.

mine is a tad different....

i ONLY removed pin from the Orange/white wire. THen i plugged that into the black wire from the kit. I then replugged the yellow harness so therefore red wire is left alone.
